words haunt her
I have no words this week. Instead I’ll be posting some photos and save the words for another time.
the coyotes howl out west–
how i wish i could howl
your green ribbons laced with thorns
and was relieved that your threatening
presentation was so beautifully exaggerated.
The feelings you inspired in me may have been
completely irrational, however I enjoyed the primitive fear
that crawled up my spine upon seeing you sauntering
leisurely across the parking lot.
mermen, shadows, silver lockets or stones–
telescopes, tea cups, or a broken corazon
Light will shine through with the smallest invitation
This list inspired by Susannah Conway’s post today:
Reading: The Time in Between by Maria Dueñas
Feeling: Glad to see the sun for two days in a row
Smelling: The tang of cut grass
Tasting: Blueberry coffee
Listening: John Gorka
Creating: New graphics for a client’s website
Wanting: More energy
Pondering: The book I’m reading (mentioned above) has brought back so many conversations of my childhood home. How does our past mold the people we become in the future?
And lastly, one of my own:
Remembering: A walk along the rim of the Grand Canyon after a storm
One moment from our very recent trip to California.
