Rose Petals
in the night, while the snow fell silently,
i dreamt of flying rose petals,
pink and velvety,
aromatic and delicate–
catching them upon my tongue,
they melted softly like
cotton candy communion
Mid-March
snow falls in mid-March,
confusing the robins,
the daffodils,
and the pup
who sits at the balcony doors
and stares into the swirling white
