fountain pens and ink wells, memories recalled in dreams, cameras and typewriters, tea cups and porcelain creamers, old friendships revisited, rusty tractors in corn fields, clay pots of ancient ferns and aromatic cigar boxes
Our disposable society is terribly sad. I mentioned a couple years ago, that I’d like to have a pair of shoes re-soled and my kids, who were teens at the time, looked at me in complete confusion. Nothing is repaired, simply thrown away and traded for a new one. On so many levels, I hate this way of thinking.
Marvellous old things of quality, missing in today’s faster paced life.
That’s a really interesting old camera. π

There was a higher standard of quality in the old things, it seems. Very cool camera!

Same hereβ society is honoring dollars over the sustainability of Earth…a recipe for disaster, IMO.
