photo by Sylvia (some daffodils were harmed in the taking of this photo, but no dogs were harmed as the potentially poisonous daffodils were not ingested)
Spring arrives and the woods are damp, rich, earthy. You can smell it and almost taste it and certainly feel it—hopefulness.
Yes! Although I have to say, I’m not a big fan of high heat, so full-on summer isn’t my favorite time. Still, the colors and the blue skies and the singing birds will be so welcome!
Thank you Dale! You are probably behind us in Pennsylvania where the spring is concerned. But it’s definitely around the corner just waiting to come upon us!
Oh yes, we are. I’ve a few friends in PA and NJ, showing off their flowers…
I was pretty excited on my walks yesterday and the day before to see some crocus.
It was a joy to see your spring photos, Sylvia. I liked the order of the photos, too, showing bit of spring and winter at the beginning, and then the last one a burst of spring.
Thank you Jet! This “in-between the seasons” time is funny because the trees are still bare, but there are flowers here and there and some bright greens showing through the forest floor. May will bring all the green and bright colors forward and I so look forward to that!
Since Percy is still a pup, she eats everything in sight. I was surprised that she bit off this flower and then spit it out, which made me look it up. I learned that daffodils are poisonous for dogs, so it must be very unpleasant to taste for her to have spit it out. It was a good reminder to me that puppies are like babies and one has to be on constant high alert!
More treatos for the doggo for protecting you from the viscous daffodils.😁

Nice! I am ready for the warmth of Spring, that precludes more warmth during the Summer!!
