    1. Oh yes, I love to see the markings in the snow. I was trying to capture the shimmer of the sun on the snow, but wasn’t being very successful. But the shadows and the trails left behind from animals and leaves and sticks, interest me nonetheless. Even and maybe especially the very faint ones. 🙂

      1. I was just on the Oregon Coast, Sylvia, and noticed lots of tracks in the sand. I could identify the crabs with their claw created foot prints but others I didn’t have a clue about.
        I always head out here after a snow storm to see who has been leaving tracks. It’s one of the best indicators of who has been hanging around that I don’t normally see. Last year we had both cougar and bear tracks on our property. 🙂 –Curt
