Like bats, they are superb flyers. We don’t see many of them on our property but they come through in the spring and the fall. Hard not to flench. 🙂 –Curt
I’m sure that should one actually hit me, my reactions would be different from that moment on. My daughter is not a fan at all and she marvels that I’m not in the least bit alarmed, nor do I duck in any way. I am absolutely convinced that they will not hit us. A leap of faith that keeps me safe. For now.

I love them too. As of yet, I have never been hit by one, so I am not afraid. I find them so beautiful and interesting.
Guinevere is my daughter.
