Pittsburgh is a vibrant, gorgeous city hugged tightly by the Allegheny and Monongahela rivers which join to form the mighty Ohio river. Because of this geographical position, Pittsburgh is the US city with the most bridges. There are over 90 distinct neighborhoods in and around the city limits which give it an artful, culturally diverse flavor. Pennsylvania is a beautiful state with lush greens and gentle mountains and this city is nestled within these Penn’s Woods like a shiny, bright emerald in the sun.

LOVE all the yellow in the shots. Gorgeous! I hope I get to visit Pittsburgh some day.

The Pittsburg CoC. 🙂 I don’t normally think of Pittsburg as a destination city. Maybe I should change my perspective next time I am in the area. I did have ancestors hanging out there during the Revolutionary War and afterwards for a few years before moving on to Kentucky. –Curt

It’s changed a great deal in the past 20 years. It’s really a very nice place to live and it’s also a great place to visit. The Laurel Mountains outside of Pittsburgh offer skiing and hiking trails, the art and music scene is very vibrant and it’s getting more and more diverse. Yes, take some time to visit the sites when you’re passing through again.

Check out your National Aviary. It is fantastic if you are a birdwatcher.

Yes it is. My son volunteered there for a summer and we got to know it very well. Wonderful place.
