What a beautiful mut! Bells-Donna is hereby invited to go sailing with Zizek and Zappa. They are a bit juvenile but alas, still gentlemen, worthy the memory of the BBD (Big Bad Dog) Choppe.
Thank you for liking “Rock Art: Part 1.” Nice post! 🙂 I like dogs. Most of the dogs I have had over the years have been loyal, loving companions. Bella Donna reminds me of my first dog.
Thank you for stopping by spanishwoods…
I haven’t talked about it here on the blog, but I had to put Bella Donna to sleep 2 weeks ago and it has brought huge sorrow to me. It’s actually quite soothing to receive this lovely comment from you about her picture and how it inspired memories of your own wonderful companions. Thank you…..
I am sorry to hear the sad news about Bella Donna. It is hard to lose a dog you have had for a long time, but it also difficult to see them suffering from health problems too. I lost Daisy, my 13-year-old samoyed-chow chow mix dog, about four years ago. Toward the end of her life, she had arthritis and a tumor growing in one of her eyes. I was so sad about losing her that I got another dog right away.
From my own personal experience, I know it takes time to get over the loss of a beloved pet, but eventually you will be able to think about him or her without feeling sad.
I couldn’t agree more! I have a 14 year old dog and it’s amazing to think how long he has been in my life.

Bella Donna is 12 and she has many health issues, but I hope she can be with us for a long while.
