and i can’t help but think how this pattern
is reflective of our little lives

We often repeat the same cycles of behaviors in interacting with the world outside of us, because we had yet to realize, that we need to make a change, to get a different outcome, a better alternative in our lives…

The Iroquois river we live on is supposed to be around 23 feet above normal by Friday — because of all the endless rains we’ve been having. It will be a record height! We should be OK, but might get some water in our crawl space. Neighbors will definitely be inundated, unfortunately.
