that empty chair where you used to sit,
that empty space that you filled,
that empty bowl that once carried peas from the garden–
that empty moment is filled and overflowing with emptiness
that empty chair where you used to sit,
that empty space that you filled,
that empty bowl that once carried peas from the garden–
that empty moment is filled and overflowing with emptiness
Fill it with love and good memories. 😉

Sometimes, we’re, too caught up by what used to be there, that we failed to look at what is there now…

Thank you for those words. I know that those who’ve left us will live “forever” in our memories as long as we live. Such is the case of my grandfather who died in ’69, but is still alive in my brother’s and my memory, and will be as long as we live. It is more difficult to fill the void on a recent departure. But, again, thank you for those words. And have a lovely week.

As I grow older, more people leave, leaving more empty spaces.

Yes, that is exactly right. Very difficult.

Very poignant and it is difficult losing the presence of those close to us. Can only agree that finding ways to remember can help.
