Watched a crow the other day being attacked by several blackbirds. It was hightailing it. Blackbird eggs were not on the menu for breakfast. But then it did something I have never seen before. It flipped onto its back while flying and grabbed for the birds hassling it. It didn’t succeed, but afterwards the blackbirds kept their distance.

Wow, how awesome that you saw that. I know that there is an element of “sadness” for the little prey or the lost eggs, but I have always had an affinity for the predator birds. I don’t know…just watching them is amazing.

Like you, I enjoy both. Nature is going to do what nature is going to do. I’ve always been impressed by the bravery of the small birds. –Curt
