Remember the thrill of spinnning in circles
and the smell of the earth in the month of May?
Remember Christmas morning when you were 3
or the smell of funnel cakes and cotton candy at the fair?
Remember when the grown-ups remembered
and the stories seemed disconnected to your little life?

    1. I can remember Christmas when I was three very clearly. I actually fell down some very steep steps and have wondered if the trauma of that made me remember that day. Believe it or not, it’s one of my best memories. Falling wasn’t fun, but I wasn’t seriously hurt and I truly can remember my happiness that day.

  1. How strangely reminiscent. Even though I still have yet to reach adulthood, the memories I do have of childhood were summarized in these 6 lines. Childhood was a simpler time, and I often wish I could relive it.
