Roads in the country

Who’s walked along your path?
Who’s stepped along your grassy edges?
Who’s pulled an errant leaf from an overhanging limb?
Explain the soft sense of comfort that
blankets my spirit when we walk together–
or say nothing and know that I love you
for your booming silence.

    1. Thank you for nominating me. I’m not familiar with that award. I have not participated in the past with awards because of the policy of having to nominate other bloggers when one is nominated. If this award follows that protocol, I will thank you genuinely and truthfully for your nomination and humbly remove myself from the running since I will not comply with those rules.
