if autumn were a woman,
she’d wear long flowing coats
and have greying amber hair
that would billow loosly out of a worn felt hat
sometimes tears,
sometimes laughter,
and sometimes
both

oak tree
orzo
opium
orchids
orange
she had always been his shelter
There have been times when I’ve been on the other side of:
“Really, I mean, what were you thinking?”
And I am at a loss for words to describe what’s in my mind.
