Dreaming
Darkness– the sweet and spicy spiral visions of velvety midnight lightning with torrential rains and golden amber daybreaks dawning into a black murder of flying crows and a tiny blue butterfly’s breath blowing stray raindrops on falling leaves with a feeling of deep peace and great abandon.

Desert
Southwestern horizons dressed in long-tailed lizard tracks and sage scented breezes haunt my dreams with an inexplicable longing and deep desert nostalgia.
Fog on the water
The fog on the water, blankets my soul and lifts my spirit with the gentleness of a calm, warm morning.
Soothing Art
The art that I see on the trunk of a tree
on the face of the sky
in the way the geese fly
on the feathers of crows
and the way the wind blows–
soothes my unsettled senses
Joy
There it is, elusive and silent, it drifts quietly like a bee from rose to rose, content to linger as does the amber pollen on a hummingbird’s wings.
Buds
pink faerie buds waiting to bloom–
tight little fists of candied thoughts and twinkling wishes
Reflections
reflections of the past
of the future
of the undisclosed
and indisposed
of all that you wanted
and all that you lost
of all that was honest
and all that was not
Existence
While trying to catch your elusive image, I caught a piece of time. That moment, frozen forever, when you stopped long enough for me to crouch by the yellow flowers. That one tiny moment, otherwise gone, but for this fleeting proof of your existence and of mine.
