Welcome, my name is Sylvia and I am a graphic designer writing from the beautiful city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the United States. This blog features some of my photography, poetic ramblings and the beautiful photos that my son Wolfgang, my daughter Guinevere and my husband Philip (spanishwoods header photo) have taken. I am first generation American, 100 percent Spanish my parents born and raised in Barcelona and my heritage stretches from the north to the deep south of Spain. Spanish is my first language and the language of my soul.

Well I can’t take credit for the overall design because it’s a template that was created by WordPress. I do try to pace the photos with color and content as well as the copy so that it’s visually pleasing when viewed in large chunks. Now that I’ve been blogging for a year, I am thinking of upgrading to a platform where I can design the site and have a couple other perks involved. Thank you for the kind words.
