Yes! Ferns were around with the dinosaurs! And they are so very beautiful. The bust in the window… no idea. I was walking along a street with my daughter and I saw this lovely garden and peered through the wrought iron gate and saw that in the window. Your guess is as good as mine, but I thought it would make an interesting black and white shot. The moth was on my side porch for two days, very large and very beautiful (Polyphemus Moth). Thanks for commenting John, I always appreciate it. 🙂

Yes, most moths have a very short period of time living as an adult. In most cases days or a few weeks.

I love ferns, they seem so ancient, that bust in the window is huge and kind of scary. That’s an amazing butterfly, or is it a moth?
