    1. Yes he is hard to find. I knew if I went inside for my real camera he would disappear, so I made due with my phone camera. He watched me for a very long time, and he was very quiet, no talking allowed. Could be a “she” and she might have some babies in that spot, I don’t know. Sweet nonetheless.

      1. I agree. Funny thing is that they are actually very successful rodents but still so cute. Your phone cam did a good job, it’s funny that you said Real camera, i say that too. Phones have a long way to go to catch up with real cameras!

  1. I do that a lot. See something go inside for my “real” camera, like yesterday, and the birds were gone even though I watched them for a while before deciding.

    1. Sometimes I’m glad not to have the camera with me because it forces me to “be in the moment”, but often I regret not having it. In this case, the tiny squirrel is hard to see, but he was hard to see from my vantage point, so it’s true to how I was watching him and he silently watched me. Better luck with the birds next time! πŸ™‚

      1. Well, there’s a counter argument to that which is, when I have my camera I often am more “aware” of my surroundings. Yes, it’s because I’m looking for a photo opportunity, but still, I see things that otherwise I might have missed. So there, you go. πŸ™‚

      2. A friend said that she looks for things to photograph and reckons that I see things that she doesn’t while looking.
A difference in looking and seeing but as you say being more aware of what’s happening around you. πŸ™‚

  2. Really hard to find. Without your text we would have seen it. Cool pic!
