    1. I thought it might be a good idea to document things visually since I’m having a hard time writing. These are just things that are surrounding me in my life right now. Pleasant visuals. πŸ™‚

      1. I know what you mean about writing. I’m working on three different posts … they’re at different stages. I know what I want to say, but getting it down in written form is another story. Hopefully, the writing will come around. Hope you’ve been doing well. πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks Eliza. This is my mother’s cat, Jasmine. She’s sweet and wicked smart. I wouldn’t mind having a cat like this because she’s so engaged with my mum and she’s playful and loving. The cat I had for 21 years (years ago) was the exact opposite of all those things, but I loved her nonetheless. This cat is very easy to love.

  1. Hi Sylvia – such lovely photos and interesting subjects. Though kitty is the best, I’m intrigued about the function of the blue dish set and the silver part? And that’s a Gene Autry Flying A Ranch sticker on a cupboard door/dresser I reckon πŸ™‚

    1. The little blue dishes are sitting on a tray with porcelain tiles right next to my work armoir. They are all from flea markets. The largest one is a soap dish, the next one is an Asian soy sauce dish, and the smallest one is a tiny transferware butter dish, no doubt from a large and elegant set made about 100 years ago. They look so pretty together because of the blue on white china. The sterling silver piece in the middle is a Victorian book marker.

The Gene Autry graphic is on the top of a toy chest I bought at an antique store years ago. When I was a child, I had several Gene Autry records and my cousins (who I adored) were very much into the cowboy culture of Roy Rogers, Bonanza, Gene Autry, Daniel Boone… you get the picture. So when I spotted this toy chest with this graphic on the top and on either side, I absolutely had to have it. It’s one of my best treasures. (also, I still listen to Gene Autry)

      1. Thanks for the dishes breakdown. They really are attractive, and with a Victorian bookmark on top!

I don’t know much about Mr Autry? Growing up in the UK we had Bonanza, High Chaperel, Roy Rogers, and of course the Lone Ranger, and Zorro. Books and TV.

Your items are so cool. I love going to flea markets when I can πŸ™‚

      1. You’re welcome πŸ˜€
I was still looking for my dog in March, but then SA went into full Lockdown and we weren’t allowed to walk a dog – or ourselves. The animal rescue centres had to close, while still caring for animals in distress.
Looks like it will be a long time before I will find my Doggo – but he’ll be all over my Blog once I do! πŸ˜€
