“Milo tried very hard to understand all the things he’d been told, and all the things he’d seen, and, as he spoke, one curious thing still bothered him. “Why is it…that quite often even the things which are correct just don’t seem to be right?”

Well, I hadn’t read it since I was a child myself. And upon reading it again, I had it filled with post it notes. Especially in these disturbing times we’re living in, so much of it rang true. Of course it’s written “for children”, but the relevance to current events and the clever way in which it’s written completely captivated me again. I’m not sure it’s translating well to these little blog posts, but knowing you ordered it and are going to read it makes me very happy. I think it’s really genius.

Enjoyed the match-up of this intriguing quote with the curious photo, Sylvia.

My daughter took this shot Jet, and I thought it fit the excerpt well. Difficult to pair photos with these quotes. Nothing does them justice like the actual illustrations in the book.
