was a little bandit raccoon–
he looked at me intensely for a stilted moment

Raccoons are neat! We have them all along our river area. They can be mischievous though! 🙂

Yes, I know. I’m sure a lot of people don’t like them for this reason! But I always think they are amazing. (and when I was a child I was nipped by raccoons all the time, they have a fierce little bite)

Mmmm… I would think one nip would do it. 🙂 –Curt

Ha! I’m not sure what this says about me, either I’m a slow learner or I’m just very stubborn, but my cousin told me more than once not to put my hands inside the raccoon cages. And each time I did it, I got nipped. Each and every time.

I’m very sure he found what he was looking for. The fish are large in that marsh. I’m so fortunate to see this scene on my walk almost every day. Green, green and more green as far as the eye can see.

your words are so descriptive, Sylvia. I can almost see him watching you, even if briefly
