Parenting

I lifted you so that you would learn to lift yourself.
I listended to you so that you would learn to listen to your own voice.
I carried you so that you would know when to carry others.
I loved you so that you would rain love generously on
all that grows around you with a yearning thirst.

  2. What a stunning description of what it means and what it takes to be a parent. The photo reinforces the strength, determination and vision you convey in this poem. Thank you.

      1. I left WP back in February. I would like to leave my WP blog just sitting, but WP is making it difficult to detach it from the domain name, even though I’ve moved the domain. So I might be forced to delete the blog. I still have a WP account.
