Yes, seeing the deer is wonderful, but it’s sad to see all the roses be eaten. Then again, we have infringed on their land and they have to eat. Conflicted is a good word.

I am conflicted! I would love to see wild deer – but also the roses which have waited all year to bloom! I hope these are still there tomorrow!

I have seen deer eat stuff in Michigan that was prickly. Tough tongue and mouth I guess.
