Welcome, my name is Sylvia and I am a graphic designer writing from the beautiful city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the United States. This blog features some of my photography, poetic ramblings and the beautiful photos that my son Wolfgang, my daughter Guinevere and my husband Philip (spanishwoods header photo) have taken. I am first generation American, 100 percent Spanish my parents born and raised in Barcelona and my heritage stretches from the north to the deep south of Spain. Spanish is my first language and the language of my soul.

        Especially Spanish trees….I’m heading for the forests around Andalucias Altiplano in a few weeks. I hope you’ll pop in and see the results.

    Would you care to elaborate?
    We’re actually heading for Spain this summer, the Atlantic Coast of Spain, sailing south from Holland. I guess if your looking for a forest in Spain, that’s where you would find it.

    1. My husband made this name up for the blog. My family all come from Spain (I’m first generation American) and we live in Pennsylvania (Penn’s Woods). I love the forest and trees and anything related to the woods. Best of luck to you in your visit to beautiful España.
