    1. I’m not sure Curt. I don’t remember tulips having a smell and these tulips that I have around the house from two pots I bought a couple weekends ago do not smell, but they are so elegant and lovely. The deer will eat the bulbs, I’m sure, but I’m going to plant them anyway. πŸ™‚

      1. Dale responded to me on your post, Sylvia, which I appreciated. No smell. As for deer, probably. We have two bulb flower going on our property that the deer pretty much leave alone: daffodils and irises. But when I look up tulips on the net, here’s what I read.
“Preventing deer from eating tulips requires persistence and guile.” I like the guile part. πŸ™‚

      2. Ha! Honestly, I’m not that invested. If they want to eat the bulbs (and I know they will), then fine. It is what it is. πŸ™‚ I can’t imagine what trickery I would have to use to make the tulip bulbs unattractive to them! Simply not planting them would probably be the logical answer! But often, I’m not logical. So…..there’s that.
