As I grow older (very stereotypical), the winters wear on me more and more. This year we had lots of ice, which frankly isn’t as lovely as the snow. So I do understand not missing the winters. I often wonder if I would miss them myself. Your blue skies look so very beautiful in your photos and my skies here are grey, day after day.
Hi Sylvia, thank you for your kind comment. The sky almost always blue but with some clouds tossed in other days. Driving on ice has always creeped me out, it makes me worry about my family. These people can’t drive on wet roads down here, after every rain the sirens can be heard. I hope to see my family this summer after we’ve all had the vaccine. Below 60 degrees is too cold for me these days!
Thank you Eliza. This isn’t my tree, if it were, I’d be making a big beautiful arrangement with some branches. But it’s lovely to see outside as well! 🙂
Thank you Jane. If you can believe it, my friend transplanted that magnolia tree from one house to another. She says it cost her a fortune but was worth every penny. It is so so beautiful.
Beauty in the photos and the poem. The arrival of spring lifted my spirits more than usual this year. Lovely to feel the warmer sun and see colorful flowers 🙂
Great photos, Sylvia. Spring is happening here in the desert too, but it looks different from my Michigan spring days. Be well. 🌹

Your Michigan spring days probably look a lot like my Pennsylvania spring days!

Absolutely, they are close together. I do miss Michigan, but not the winters.

The bottom picture especially captures northern springs. The greenery is trying to burst out but just can’t quite do it yet…lovely pictures.
