Their large, protruding eyes are unsettling. Also, I read once where they have extremely sharp teeth. Large eyes and sharp teeth make for an intimidating combination. But I do find them very beautiful and intriguing.
It has been since I was a child. I like the way they fly like helicopters and hover in one place but mostly I like their design with a futuristic head with their sleek bodies and stained glass wings.

They were actually quite small. I find dragonflies to be so beautiful but also somewhat intimidating.

They’ve been hanging around our yard a lot… and there are a lot less mosquitoes! They are very adroit in the air!
